What are High Sprays?

High Sprays are not only extremely difficult to damage, they are also highly efficient, providing maximum irrigation coverage. The strength of High Sprays is provided by a robust aluminium riser, while the improved coverage is a result of greater elevation. An elevated irrigation spray is a lot more efficient, especially in flowerbeds and areas with dense foliage.
High Sprays are also extremely low maintenance as the pop-up spray component is insulated inside the casing, and therefore protected from dirt and the elements, which minimises wear and tear.
They are available in three different sizes to cater for different foliage heights and in various colours, designed to blend in with gardens.

How do they work
Once a High Spray is fitted into the ground it is connected to an irrigation pipe. The water pressure pushes the pop-up spray out of the aluminium tube, giving the spray the required elevation for better irrigation coverage. When the water is turned off, the pop-spray will retract into the tube again. High Sprays are extremely easy to install, as demonstrated here.

Public parks and gardens
Using High Sprays in public gardens greatly reduces the likelihood of damage from vandals and gardener’s tools and boots. Being above ground and easy to locate, makes maintenance quick and easy. Any problems are quickly observed, saving time and water.
Commercial premises
Gardens in and around commercial premises are often used as thoroughfares. This often leads to traditional irrigation systems being damaged and in need of constant repair. High Sprays are strong, durable and attractive. They require little maintenance and will keep working efficiently to ensure gardens remain well-irrigated.
Homes
More and more homeowners are recognising the advantages of High Sprays which include water savings, easy maintenance and excellent coverage. These add up to a lot of savings, especially when they prevent plants from dying due to damaged irrigation hidden beneath plants and mulch.
High profile areas
With clever positioning and the right height and colour selection, High Sprays offer a stylish, modern alternative to most traditional irrigation systems (i.e. stakes and zip ties). In manicured gardens, High Sprays can be positioned out of sight in the foliage so that they pop up above the shrubbery when watering.
Please note: High Sprays are individual pop-up sprays that can be used in an irrigation system. It is NOT a complete irrigation system. However, we are able to advise on the positioning of the High Sprays and which nozzles will work best.

I was hesitant about installing High Sprays at first because the area we needed to irrigate was adjacent to our main entrance which is highly visible to all residents and traffic. However, once I saw the High Sprays installed and operating, I was pleasantly surprised. The High Sprays not only blend in extremely well (in fact they complement the garden), they also provide excellent irrigation coverage which is good for the gardens and more cost-effective. We are extremely pleased with the performance of the High Spray units as they offer great coverage and a higher level of vandal protection than the previous plastic sprays or unprotected sprays. We also like the various colour options as we were able to select ones to suit our surroundings.
